VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau focuses on key sectors that the Flemish Government puts forward in its policy plan, and in which Flanders wants to play a pioneering role worldwide.

Flanders has leading scientists and entrepreneurs in all these fields. VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau brings these standard-bearers together in a unique partnership: the Legacy Makers.

The Legacy Makers share knowledge on impact, inspire with best cases and connect with other experts within the domains in which Flanders wants to attract international conferences.

Legacy Maker in Flanders? Welcome to our events.

VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau organizes an event twice a year, where we bring all Legacy Makers together.

  • Are you active as an academic, entrepreneur, involved in a civic movement/initiative or linked to a government agency?
  • Do you want to put yourself, your organization and your sector on the international map?
  • Are you a member of an international association organizing a multi-day international conference?
  • Would you like to promote internationally the expertise and assets of Flanders and the Flemish cities as a congress destination?

The next Legacy Makers event will take place on December 8, 2023.

Then VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau is organizing the Meet in Flanders Academy, to which Legacy Makers are most welcome.

This highly informative meeting will take place in Ghent, at the Oude Vismijn, a beautiful place that is part of the network of Flanders Heritage Venues.
